A Healthy Hiatus
In a corporate world filled with inauthenticity and insincerity, real connections exist—but they’re harder to find. For me, community has always resonated more. We are better together, as a group… as one. And I never found that in a cubicle.
After 2021, I stepped away from baking to focus on my corporate career. I achieved my goals, but at the cost of something invaluable—my community. No matter how much "work-life balance" you strive for, something always has to give. By the time 2025 arrived, I felt the loss deeply.
Long hours, missing my kids’ milestones, and navigating the stress of poor corporate leadership made me realize it was never just about baked goods—it was about people. The sincere connections with neighbors and friends, the time spent giving back, and advocating for those who need support.
Now, I’m returning to what truly matters. I hope to commit to this for as long as I can—connecting with my community, sharing treats, and bringing a little joy to those who need it. And don’t worry—I won’t make you circle back for seconds… but I sure hope you do.
